Ventura, Calif.—The Ventura College Foundation (VC Foundation) is hosting tours of the Ventura College campus on the last Monday of the month through April. The “A Pirate’s Life for Me” one-hour walking tour is for community members, service club representatives, community partners, business owners, alumni and donors who are interested in learning about current foundation and college programs.venturacollegefoundtion

The tour highlights how the VC Foundation and college support students as they prepare for careers or continue with their education at a four-year university.

Guests hear from a VC Foundation board member and a current Ventura College student as they visit three campus locations. Stops on the tour vary month to month, but possible stops include the Student Connect Center, Health Sciences Center (Nursing, EMT) the Library and Learning Resource Center, the Welding, Auto and Manufacturing Program and the Applied Science Center (where students can train for and receive certifications in specific career paths).

Tours are held from noon to 1:00 p.m. on February 25, March 25 and April 29. Contact Jaimee Hanna, ([email protected], 805-289-6161), with any questions or to reserve a spot in an upcoming tour.
