The JWST telescope has been mated to the bus and sunshield. Our visitors on Tour 21, 2019-08-26, were among the first to see the magnificent result.
This is to announce that VCAS Fall 2019 Tours to the James Webb Space Telescope are now open for signups. These tours are scheduled for Mondays with arrival for visitors requested by 09:00 or 10:00, depending on the tour date, for receiving preprinted visitors’ badges, the welcoming presentation on aerospace technology, and JWST observation at Northrop Grumman Space Park in Redondo Beach.
Each tour will last about one and one-half hours. Each tour will require about 1/4 mile of walking between buildings. Water and restrooms are available along the tour route. Visitors must be able to walk up stairs.
Again: Tours to JWST are free, and parking at Northrop Grumman is free and usually abundant.
Please remember that no photography or recording of any kind is permitted anywhere on this national defense site.
Thanks to all who have already attended during the summer tours! Including several of our members who have returned for another look!
