The new program will provide eligible businesses and nonprofits, that did not receive any Covid-relief grants in the previous county programs, a $10,000 grant per organization. Applications will be accepted starting in mid-July.
The County Board of Supervisors previously approved Program III where all organizations that received a $5,000 grant in Programs I and II will be eligible for an additional $5,000 grant. These organizations do not need to re-apply and will be contacted in mid-July with instructions on how to confirm their eligibility for the additional $5,000 in funding.
Chamber President/CEO Danielle Borja spoke in favor of the additional grants: “The state’s recent reopening on June 15th does not make up for the last 15 months that our businesses had to endure the strictest mandates in the United States. Additional financial aid is still needed to get many businesses back to where they were before the pandemic.”
