Ventura County Community College District hosts public forum to present finalists for Chancellor, March 20

The Ventura County Community College District will host a public forum to present the six finalists for the position of Chancellor.  The forum will be held at the Ventura County Office of Education (5100 Adolfo Road, Salon A, B, and C, Camarillo, CA).  The community and VCCCD students, faculty, and staff are invited to hear the candidates speak.  Each will have thirty-five minutes to address the audience and participate in a question and answer session, followed by a ten-minute break.  The forum will also be live-streamed through the District website for anyone who is unable to attend. The forum schedule is as follows:

  • 2:30 p.m. – Melinda Nish
  • 3:15 p.m. – Jerry Buckley
  • 4:00 p.m. – Otto Lee
  • 4:45 p.m. – Greg Gillespie
  • 5:30 p.m. – David El Fattal
  • 6:15 p.m. – Arturo Reyes

Following Board of Trustees closed-session interviews on March 20-21, the final selection will be announced tentatively at the April 11, 2017, Board meeting with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2017.  Candidate bios may be reviewed on the District website.
