Ventura County Republican Party Endorses Candidates for Local Office

At the regular March meeting of the Ventura County Republican Central Committee (Ventura County Republican Party, the members endorsed the following candidates for office, starting the local government endorsement process.  Chairman Mike Osborn announced the results of the voting.

Endorsed by the Committee for:

Board of Supervisors 4th District-
Simi Valley Mayor Bob Huber

Simi Valley Mayor-
Councilman Keith Mashburn

Simi Valley City Council-
Councilman Mike Judge

Ventura County Board of Education Area 4-
Incumbent Dean Kunicki

Osborn noted that all those endorsed are elected officials who put their community first, before ideology and special interests. “Our Committee wanted to make clear that we support those candidates that are fiscally conservative, supporters of strong public safety and believed that they represent all the families in their district, not just some special interests.”

Huber, Osborn said, had spent a lifetime of volunteer service to the community and served as a part time Mayor while working full time at the job.  Mashburn is a former Ventura County firefighter and Mike Judge is an active duty Los Angeles Police officer.  Dean Kunicki is a longtime supporter of children and education, being involved in numerous education and youth groups benefitting our community—all as a volunteer.

“We are proud of these endorsees—each represent the best of our community and county,” said Osborn.
