Ventura County School Closures for Friday, Dec. 22

Some VCOE-operated school sites and the Ventura Unified School District will continue to be closed on Friday, December 22 due to impacts from the Thomas fire. All other school districts within Ventura County are closed Friday for their regularly-scheduled winter breaks. Detailed closure information is below. Any updates will be posted at www.vcoe.org.

The following VCOE-operated school sites will be OPEN on Friday, December 22: all Phoenix School locations, Dwire School, Dean Triggs School, ACCESS, and the VCOE special education classrooms at Moorpark High School, Dos Caminos, Las Colinas, La Mariposa, Emily Ritchen, Williams and Sunkist Schools.

 

The following VCOE-operated school sites are CLOSED on Friday, December 22, either for winter break or due to impacts from the Thomas fire: Gateway Community School, Providence School, James Foster School, Triton Academy, Boswell School, Penfield School, Ojai TEAMS and the VCOE special education classrooms at Ventura High School and Balboa Middle School.

After Friday, all VCOE sites will be on winter break. They will be welcoming students back to school in January according to their regular calendars, which are available on our website at www.vcoe.org/calendars.
