    Two suspects were arrested during a traffic stop for possession of stolen mail, identity theft and various narcotic violations.

    On October 6th, 2021, at approximately 8:34 p.m. deputies assigned to the Moorpark Police Station, conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle for suspected false vehicle registration tabs. The deputies contacted the driver, (S) Vanessa Pack, and passenger, (S) Vanik Simonyan.  During the enforcement stop, deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and suspected Pack and Simonyan were under the influence of a controlled substance.

    Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located stolen mail, stolen credit cards, approximately 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine, burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. Simonyan and Pack were ultimately arrested for numerous charges.

    Detectives from the Moorpark Investigations Bureau assisted deputies with the property recovered from the vehicle.  Detectives were able to identify several additional victims of stolen mail from the city of Camarillo.

    Simonyan was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for identity theft, mail theft, possession of burglary tools, giving false information to a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, under the influence of a controlled substance, conspiracy, forgery, and an outstanding felony warrant for burglary. His bail is currently set at $200,000.00 awaiting trial.

    Pack was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy, identity theft, mail theft, false evidence of registration and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Her bail is currently set at $200,000.00 awaiting trial.
