We must challenge history.ย 📚💢🥊ย #Repostย @micop805 Join us in observation of Indigenous People’s Day in Ventura County! As indigenous people’s to the continent, we honor and respect the sovereignty of the over 100 indigenous Nations that call California home, in particular the Chumash people’s whose lands we are on here in Ventura County. We also honor and respect Mexico’s 68 indigenous communities, as many of these communities work and live in Ventura County.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a holiday that celebrates and honors the Native Americans and commemorates their shared history and culture, as a counter-celebration held on the same day as the U.S. federal holiday of Columbus Day,
