Ventura City Fire Department responded to a report of an animal in distress.Â
When Firefighters arrived on scene, on April 24th 1:57 PM they discovered a small dog with her paw trapped in a kitchen sink drain in Todd Ranch. The drain was removed from the sink with the dogs paw still stuck inside. Medic Truck 5 was dispatched for specialized tools to cut the metal away from the paw and prevent further injury to the dog. The dog was then moved to a veterinarian hospital to be sedated and not cause the animal any further pain.
The drain was cut off the dog’s paw and she is currently recovering from the anesthesia. Â
