Ventura Fire Dept. stamps out blaze near Grant Park

advice times; font-size: 16px;”>August 21, viagra dosage 2014, Thursday, 1:25pm, Ventura City Fire and Ventura County Fire resources responded to reports of an active brush fire near the historic cross in Grant Park early this afternoon. Arriving crews reported a one quarter acre fire involving brush on a ridge above the Cross. The fire threatened communications towers and other utilities at the peak of the hill. Quick attack from ground and air resources limited the spread of the fire to a half acre and protected critical communications equipment. The ridge adjacent to the fire was not involved. tamp 

Crews were able to contain the fire within 25 minutes and fully extinguish the blaze within an hour and a half. A collection of discarded items indicated a camp had been located at the start of the fire, in addition to unattended smoking materials. Ventura City Fire Arson unit is investigating.
