Ventura Fire and Police Departments Respond to Early Morning Blaze on High Point Road | No Injuries Reported

On December 29, 2017 at 3:27 am Ventura City Fire Department responded to a reported structure in the 500 block of High Point Rd. The first arriving engine company discovered a fully involved outbuilding 4 feet from a residential home. Firefighters evacuated the adjacent home while suppressing the fire burning in the outbuilding. The fire was knocked down 9 minutes after firefighters arrival. The outbuilding and its contents were a complete loss. Radiant heat damage was sustained to the adjacent home and a recreational vehicle located near the blaze.

No firefighters were injured as a result of this incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
