Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On July 17 at 10:49 PM patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at Gasco, 774 N. Ventura Avenue. Both suspects entered the store, approached the cashier, brandished a handgun and a large knife and demanded money. After the cashier gave them an undisclosed amount of money, both suspects fled from the business. Responding officers conducted a thorough search of the area; however the suspects were not found. No one was injured during this incident.
This robbery appears to be related another robbery in Ventura which occurred on 7/16/19 at 10:05 PM in the 7700 block of Telegraph. The suspect descriptions and method used to commit both robberies are similar.
