Ventura: Man arrested after cutting girlfriend’s neck and fleeing the scene
At 1:30am, ambulance Friday morning February 20th, ed Ventura police officers responded to the 3000 block of Central Avenue regarding a possible domestic disturbance. When they arrived they located the female victim suffering from a stab wound to her neck. Investigating officers learned that the victim and her live-in boyfriend, 29 year old Kevin Rowe, had been in argument and at some point Rowe placed a knife to the victim’s neck threatening to kill her. The suspect cut the victim. She then was able to break free and get to an area of safety until police officers arrived. Rowe fled the scene prior to officers arriving. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non–life threatening injuries.
At approximately 2:30am a Ventura Police Officer located Rowe walking in the area of Mills Road and East Main Street. Rowe was taken into custody without incident and was booked at Ventura County Jail for Attempt Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Mayhem, and Domestic Violence.
