Ventura Man arrested for Possession of Meth for Sale

On February 18th at 11 AM, Ventura Police Department Patrol Officers contacted 36 year old Mohamed Imed passed out in a vehicle. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Street Crimes Unit Detectives responded to assist and obtained information that Imed had possessed the methamphetamine for the purpose of sales and obtained a search warrant for his place of business in the 100 block of N Ashwood Ave.
Detectives served the warrant and located several items of contraband including two handguns, an assault style rifle with it’s serial numbers obliterated, a high-capacity handgun magazine, and assault rifle parts. Detectives also seized additional items used to package narcotics for sales and a large amount of US currency.
Imed was later booked into the Ventura County Main Jail on the charges of Possession for Sales and Driving While Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.
This investigation is ongoing.
