Ventura: Motorcyclist severely injured
clinic times; font-size: 16px;”>Wednesday June 4, salve 2014 just before 4:30pm the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 9-1-1 call regarding a traffic collision with an injured motorcyclist down in the roadway on Seaward Avenue near Ocean Avenue.
Ventura Police patrol officers arrived at the scene and found Raymond Rodarte suffering from serious injuries. During the investigation it was learned that Rodarte was traveling northbound on Seaward Avenue, north of Alessandro Drive, when his motorcycle veered off of the roadway and collided with a concrete pillar in the center median. Rodarte was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.
The northbound side of the 700 block of Seaward Avenue was closed for approximately two hours while traffic investigators processed the scene of the accident. Neighboring areas were impacted with heavy traffic during that time. Normal flow of traffic has since resumed.
