Ventura: Parolee arrested for possesion of firearms
On 02/18/14, the Ventura Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Major Crimes Unit located Bradley Frey in the City of Oxnard. The Street Crimes Unit was actively looking for Frey, due to the fact that he had violated his parole terms and was considered to be armed and dangerous.

Frey was taken into custody by the Street Crimes Unit for a parole warrant and transported to the Ventura County Pre Trial Detention Facility. His vehicle was seized and transported to the Ventura Police Department for further processing. Upon searching Frey’s vehicle, officers found a sawed-off rifle, stolen property from an Oxnard Police Department crime, and a small amount of heroin.
On 05/19/14, Ventura Police Department Detectives arrested Frey for the additional crimes of 1. Felon in possession of a firearm, 2. Possession of a sawed-off rifle, 3. Possession of stolen property, 4. Possession of a controlled substance, 5. Felon with violent prior in possession of a firearm. Frey was still in custody for the parole violation, so he was also booked on the charges listed above. Frey’s bail has been set at $500,000.
