Ventura PD Arrest Car Theft Suspect

On January 31st at 10:18 AM officers responded to a call or service of a stolen vehicle.  The investigation led to the parking lot of Community Park, 901 S. Kimball Road where officers located the vehicle. After conducting a high risk stop, three occupants were initially detained.  At the conclusion of the investigation, Mario Montez born 08/15/77 who is a resident of Oxnard was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, outstanding warrants and misdemeanor drug related charges. 

A review of the Ventura County Superior Court website revealed that Mario Montez, who is a Post Release Offender, has been arrested eight times since 2016.  The charges listed include commercial burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, petty theft and numerous drug related charges.
