Ventura PD arrest trio after tip by resident: Firearm, Vehicle tampering, Possible stolen property
On Saturday early morning around 4:30am 3-28-15, viagra dosage Ventura PD patrol officers responded to the 1700 block of Monita Drive regarding a resident reporting two suspects seen casing vehicles in the area. The resident reported seeing both suspects checking the door handles on vehicles parked both on the street and in the driveways of homes in the area.
While officers were responding, unhealthy the suspects were picked up by a waiting vehicle and then left the area. An officer in the area observed a vehicle leaving the area that matched the description of the vehicle that was provided by the resident. VPD patrol officers stopped the vehicle and contacted three occupants. Both of the male suspects were identified by witnesses as the suspects who were seen tampering with vehicles on Monita Dr. During a search of the suspect vehicle, a loaded firearm was located, along with several articles of property that are possibly stolen.
Twenty four years old Ventura resident, Gregory Ledbetter was arrested for conspiracy, vehicle tampering and possession of narcotics and paraphernalia that were located on his person at the time of his arrest. Ledbetter was later booked at Ventura County Jail without further incident.
The male juvenile was arrested for conspiracy, vehicle tampering, possession of a loaded firearm and juvenile warrant. The juvenile was later booked at juvenile hall without further incident.
The driver of the vehicle, 32 year old Melissa Zeir, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Zeir was issued a citation for the violation and the vehicle she was driving was impounded.
