Ventura PD recover stolen vehicle

On January 16th at 5:34 PM, a Ventura Police Officer located an occupied stolen vehicle traveling in the area of Poli St. and Cedar St. The Officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of East Prospect St. and Ventura Ave. and the driver, Manuel Alamillo, was safely taken into custody. Alamillo was arrested for unlawful taking of a vehicle and possession of tear gas. The vehicle was determined to have been reported stolen in Santa Paula on 01/16/21.

A review of the Ventura County Superior Court website shows that Alamillo has prior convictions for vehicle burglary, commercial burglary, unlawful taking of a vehicle, and possession of tear gas.
