Ventura PD recover stolen vehicle and property taken in several burglaries throughout the city

ambulance times;”>Just 7am Tuesday morning, January 6th, Ventura Police Department’s Patrol Task Force were patrolling in the area of Sidonia Ave and Armada Dr. when they came across a vehicle parked in the middle of an alleyway and observed a male subject get inside. As the officers approached the vehicle the subject, later identified as 23 year old Oxnard resident Jesus Fuentes, began running from the area. Investigating officers immediately determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen and additional officers responded to the scene to search for the suspect. Officers located Fuentes a short time later and he was taken into custody without incident.

Upon searching the vehicle Officers found stolen property from vehicle burglaries that had recently occurred in the City of Ventura. Fuentes was booked at Ventura County Jail for possessing stolen property and possessing a stolen vehicle.
