Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On December 12th at 6:49 PM the above date and time, the Ventura Police Command Center received a call of an injury traffic collision on Telegraph Rd. west of Mills Rd. As officers arrived at the scene, they located a 33-year-old male with serious injuries. Ventura City Fire personnel treated the victim at the scene before he was transported to a local hospital. The status of the victim is unknown at this time.
The Ventura Police Department Traffic Unit responded and conducted an investigation. The initial investigation revealed that the pedestrian was walking southbound across the westbound lanes of Telegraph Rd. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound in the number one lane. The involved driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in this collision.
