Ventura: Police book suspect for battery and theft

pharmacy times; font-size: 16px;”>Just past 2pm this afternoon, cheap June 8th, Sunday Ventura Police Command Center received a call from a resident (Jorge Estrada) in the 1500 block of Cardigan Avenue who stated that someone was in the process of taking bicycles from his property. The suspect was able to take possession of the bicycles and began to flee the area. As the suspect, Anthony Pillado, was fleeing he left one of the bicycles behind and rode off on the other bicycle. Ventura Police Officers searched the area and located Pillado in the 8800 Block of Northbank Drive. Pillado was in possession of the stolen bicycle. Pillado was arrested and the bicycle was returned to the victim.

As Officers were investigating this incident, they recognized Pillado as a suspect in a battery that occurred on 06/07/14 at approximately 5pm. During this incident the victim, Perez, was washing his vehicle in an alleyway in the 8800 block of Tiber St. and was approached by Pillado. Pillado attacked Perez and struck him with his fists numerous times. As a result, Perez sustained serious facial injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Pillado was booked at Ventura County Jail for 487 PC Grand Theft, 496 PC Receiving Stolen Property, and 243(d) PC Battery causing serious injury.
