Ventura–Police looking for suspect in robbery near railroad tracks

Just past midnight a suspect described as a white male in  20s with a  thin build and wearing a light colored shirt and blue jeans assaulted a victim near the railroad tracks located at the south end of Arundell Ave. and Arundell Circle.   The suspect demanded property while brandishing a large pole with an unknown cutting instrument attached at the end.  The victim, fearing for his safety, relinquished his property.  The suspect was last seen riding a bicycle west along the railroad tracks.

 Ventura police officers responded to the scene and canvassed the area but were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.  The victim was not injured as a result of this crime.

 The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to call the Ventura Police Department at 339-4441
