Ventura: Purse snatcher gets away

help arial, vcialis 40mg sans-serif;”>On Monday evening, vcialis 40mg December 28th at 7:28 the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call of a purse snatching that just occurred in the alley to the rear of the Vons store, 5722 Telephone Rd.

During the investigation officers learned that Elouise Pearce, a 55 year old Oxnard Resident and a co-worker, were leaving from work, at which time the suspect approached them in the alley behind the shopping center. The suspect, described as a White Male, 20’s, wearing a black sweatshirt and tan pants, who reportedly had a skateboard, grabbed Pearce’s purse which she was holding and forcefully pulled it from her arm. After he took the purse, the suspect ran westbound, climbed a wall and was last seen towards Cypress Point Ln.

Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. One subject was briefly detained nearby, but determined not to be involved.

This crime is still being investigated. The Ventura Police Department is asking if anyone has information related to this incident, please contact the department at 339-4488.
