Ventura: Suspect arrested in Chase bank robbery

pharm times; font-size: 16px;”>Monday, ask June 30th at 3pm, health 28 year old Los Angeles resident, Manuel Hernandez presented a note to a teller at Chase Bank at 2075 S Victoria Ave. demanding money. Hernandez handed the teller a bag to put the money inside.  The teller activated a silent robbery alarm and began to place an undisclosed amount of money into the bag.  The teller handed Hernandez the bag and he left the bank.

There were FBI Agents on the second floor of the building at the time of the robbery who were notified that a robbery was in progress at the Chase Bank.  The FBI agents saw Hernandez walking out of the bank with a bag in his hand and Hernandez began to run from the scene.  The agents chased him on foot to the area of Valentine Rd and Victoria Ave, where Hernandez was taken into custody without incident and the stolen money was recovered. 

Ventura Police Patrol Officers arrived on scene and assisted with the arrest of Hernandez.  The Ventura Police Department Major Crimes Unit was called to the scene and assisted patrol officers and the FBI with the investigation.

Hernandez was transported and booked into the Ventura County Jail for robbery.
