Ventura Teen robbed of cell phone after being threatened
order arial, cialis sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>On April 27th, order Wednesday at 3:06 the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call from the 15-year-old victim reporting he was the victim of a robbery. The suspect was last seen leaving the area eastbound on Oneida St. on a bicycle.
During the investigation, officers discovered the victim and a 16-year-old friend were walking on Petit Ave., when the suspect approached them on a bicycle. He threatened to harm the victim with a gun, telling him to give up his backpack. The victim complied and dropped the backpack. After removing the victim’s cellphone from the backpack, the suspect fled the area on a bike. No weapon was ever seen.
Both the victim and his friend had just encountered the suspect minutes earlier at a nearby Circle K on Petit Ave, and did not realize he had followed them.
Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
No one was injured as a result of this crime.
