On Wednesday, September 03, 2014, at 7:28 p.m., the Ventura Police Department Command Center received several 9-1-1 calls regarding a serious traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in the area of Telephone Rd and E. Main St. Ventura City Fire Dept, AMR, and Ventura Patrol Officers were all dispatched to the Scene. Officers arrived on scene and found the pedestrian lying on Telephone Rd. with severe injuries.

Ventura Fire Paramedics and AMR attended to the Pedestrians’ injuries and transported him to VCMC. A preliminary investigation determined that Lee was traveling southbound on Telephone Rd. Several witnesses stated that Lee had a green light as he traveled through the intersection of Telephone Rd at E. Main St. The Pedestrian was walking westbound and crossing Telephone Rd in the crosswalk when he was struck by Lee’s vehicle.

The Pedestrian’s medical status is unknown at this time and his name is being withheld pending an update on his status. 

Parties involved:  Driver: Carson Cabbot Lee 31 yr old male, Ventura resident

                               Pedestrian: name withheld 52 yr old male, Ventura resident
