Ventura | Vagrant arrested for allegedly burglarizing Elderly Resident’s Apartment

Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release

On August 24th at 4:15 the Ventura Police Command Center received a 911 call of an interrupted residential burglary that just occurred at an apartment in the 11150 block of Citrus Dr. The elderly victim was asleep in the living-room of her home when she awoke to the sounds of someone inside her bedroom. She confronted the suspect who was ransacking the bedroom and called 911. The suspect, who was later identified as Gary Lindsey, DOB: 11/30/64, Vagrant, fled from the residence on foot.

Officers responded to the call and found Lindsey on foot still inside the apartment complex. Lindsey was detained and positively identified as the suspect. At the conclusion of the investigation, he was arrested for burglary. No one was injured as a result of this incident.

A review of the Ventura County Superior Court website shows that Lindsey currently has two pending court cases for recent arrests of burglary and prowling.
