Ventura | Vagrant Caught Looking Into Windows – Suspected of Battering Victim

On 02/23/19, an alert resident saw the suspect, Velasquez, looking into windows of multiple residences in the 100 block of S. Santa Cruz Street. The resident confronted Velasquez and asked him what he was doing. Velasquez then charged at the resident and battered him. The resident then held on to Velasquez as his cousin called 9-1-1. Ventura Police Patrol Officers arrived a few minutes later and were able to take Velasquez into custody.

Velasquez was placed under arrest and charged with prowling and battery. Court records show that Velasquez was arrested and convicted of Residential Burglary in 2018.
