On November 7, 2020, a 911 call was received at the Fire Communication Center to report a traffic collision at the corner of Ventura Ave x Vince St. Fire personnel arrived on scene within minutes of the initial call and found a damaged small passenger vehicle with three occupants that collided into to a single story commercial building and a traffic signal pole. Fire personnel provided advanced medical treatment to all victims but no medical transportation was needed. Fire personnel also performed hazard mitigation and found moderate structural damage to the single story commercial building and to the traffic signal pole. Fire personnel stabilized the damaged building and deemed the building a “Limited Occupancy” and secured the traffic signal pole.
No personnel injuries were reported and the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
The Ventura City Fire Department would like to remind the public to obey all traffic laws and that seatbelts save lives.
