Ventura | Verbal confrontation leads to assault with a stick

On 2/17/2021 Ventura Police Department officers responded to the 800 Block of Thompson Blvd for a report of a man that had been struck with a stick. Officers located the victim, a 28-year-old male, bleeding from a laceration on his head.

Witnesses and corroborating evidence indicated that the victim had been standing outside of a business when he engaged in a verbal argument with the suspect, who then struck the victim in the head with a large stick. The suspect, described as a white or Hispanic male in his 30’s with long hair, f led and was not located.

The victim was treated and released by paramedics at the scene.
