Watch Stephen Dorff In The Trailer For Fox’s Police Show ‘Deputy’

    David Hookstead | Reporter

Stephen Dorff’s new police show “Deputy” looks awesome.

The plot, according to Fox’s YouTube description, is the following:

DEPUTY brings the spirit of a classic Western and a gritty authenticity to the modern cop drama. When the Los Angeles County’s Sheriff dies, an arcane rule forged back in the Wild West thrusts the most unlikely man into the job: a fifth-generation lawman (Stephen Dorff, “True Detective”), more comfortable taking down bad guys than navigating a sea of politics, who won’t rest until justice is served.

Judging from the trailer, this is going to be a badass show, and Dorff is wielding a shotgun all over the place.

    Give it a watch below.

If you’re not all in on Dorff’s acting comeback, then you clearly didn’t see him in the third season of “True Detective.”

He was outstanding in the hit HBO show, and it injected his career with new life. Now, it looks like he’s playing a similar character. (RELATED: ‘True Detective’ Ends Season Three With Strong Finale)

I’m all in on cops who play by their own rules. That’s entertainment gold.

Like I said above, I’m all in on this one. Who knows if it’ll last, but we know for a fact Dorff is capable of dominating the screen when playing a police officer.

That’s more than enough reason for to give “Deputy” a shot.

There’s no scheduled release date yet for Fox’s new show, but keep checking back for updates. You know I’ll let you all know once I do.
