Time: 1:00pm-2:00pm Eastern on Wednesday, 29 July 2020
In the third of the Center for Security Policy’s five-part Biosecurity Webinar series, former CIA operations officer Charles Faddis and Senior Director of the Jewish Policy Center Shoshana Bryen explain the lessons that state and non-state actors will draw from the coronavirus pandemic. Faddis and Bryen’s remarks will be based on the chapters they contributed to the Center for Security Policy’s new groundbreaking book, Defending Against Biothreats: What We Can Learn from the Coronavirus Pandemic to Enhance U.S. Defenses Against Pandemics and Biological Weapons.
Faddis and Bryen (who co-authored her chapter with her husband Stephen Bryen) will discuss the U.S. biosecurity vulnerabilities terrorists and other U.S. enemies learned from the pandemic, how America’s enemies could exploit our biosecurity weaknesses to mount bioattacks, and steps the U.S and the world must to take to improve biosecurity.
