Two Visions of America by Don Jans

We’re counting on you to protect Proposition 13 with your vote. Have you voted yet?

This is a critical election for the protection of Proposition 13. Your vote is urgently important! If you have already voted, thank you! If not, there’s still time to use your vote-by-mail ballot, and of course you can go to the polls and vote in person.

Vote-by-mail ballots may be returned to your county election offices by mail. As long as they’re postmarked on or before Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, they have up to 17 days to arrive and they will be counted. Be sure to sign the outer envelope of your ballot where indicated.

Vote-by-mail ballots may also be returned in person to any polling place (no need to wait in line), and ballots also may be dropped off in your county’s official ballot drop-boxes or given to a trusted person to deliver for you.

To find a polling place or drop box that’s convenient, visit CAEarlyVoting.sos.ca.gov or contact the offices of your county’s Registrar of Voters, listed here: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voting-resources/county-elections-offices/

HJTA is pleased to offer information and resources to help all Californians protect their families from the devastating effects of higher taxes. We urge a “NO” vote on Proposition 15, the destructive “split roll” attack on Prop. 13. We also urge a “NO” vote on Proposition 19, a billion-dollar tax increase on transfers of property between parents and children. And we urge a “NO” vote on Proposition 21, which would reduce the supply of housing in California by enabling radical new rent control laws.

All our ballot-measure recommendations appear below and can also be found online at: https://www.hjta.org/endorsements-by-the-hjta-pac/#ballots
