West County Street Team: Oxnard men arrested for marijuana sales and possession of homemade explosives

During the service of the search warrant, homemade explosives were located inside the residence. 35 year old Luis Adame was arrested for possession of explosive devices.

On August 5, 2015, narcotics detectives executed a search warrant on Barbarine as he left his residence in the city of Oxnard. Barbarine was arrested for marijuana sales and possession of marijuana for sale. During the service of the search warrant, detectives located over five pounds of marijuana inside the residence along with indicia of sales. Also located were five homemade explosive devices inside a closet. Detectives determined the explosive devices belonged to Adame. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Bomb Unit responded to the residence and removed the explosive devices. Adame was arrested for possession of the explosive devices. Barbarine and Adame were booked into the Ventura County Jail the both cases were filed with the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. Barbarine and Adame both posted bail and are awaiting arraignment.

The West County Street Team is made up of Sheriff’s Office, Santa Paula Police Department, and the Oxnard Police Department narcotics detectives working cooperatively in the investigation of narcotics offenses occurring in the western portion of Ventura County.

Hats off to you guys, who are working so hard to implement law and order. Marijuana should be used for medical and recreational purposes.
