Westlake Village, Calif.—The new YMCA in Westlake Village is currently in its final phase of construction. The public is invited for a family fun day, hard hat tours of the facility and participate in a name unveiling ceremony Sunday, September 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The facility’s name unveiling will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the YMCA site (31105 Thousand Oaks Blvd. in Westlake Village).

“We are very excited to unveil the new name of our YMCA,” says Greg Koubek, Executive Director of the YMCA branch. “Thanks to a number of very generous donors, we were able to begin the final phase of construction in May and anticipate opening in Spring 2019.”

The September 9 event will include music, a raffle, food and a free Kid Zone with crafts, face painting, bounce house and games. Tours will take place throughout the day (for ages 18 and over).

Y staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about special membership pricing for the new facility.

Membership sales are now open.  Contact Christy Rosen, Member Experience Director, to lock in the best rates at [email protected], 818-707-9622. To keep up to date on the progress of the new Y, membership as well as employment and donation opportunities, go to www.YourNewY.org.
