Wife of NFL Superstar Quarterback Reveals if He’ll Miss Games Over Pregnancy
Detroit Lions fans can relax because Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly made it clear he won’t miss games over her pregnancy.
Kelly recently shared a photo on Instagram of a meme pondering whether or not the star gunslinger would miss time if she gave birth on a Sunday. She captioned the photo, “Either way… I don’t think he’s missing a game.”

Well, I sure am glad to see Kelly Stafford is down for the cause. Am I saying that I think men should skip the birth of their children to play football? That’s not what I’m saying at all, but we all understand that football is about sacrifice. (RELATED: MATTHEW

Look, there is plenty of time to have children. There’s literally several months out of the year when football isn’t happening. There’s only a few months out of the year when you have a shot at a Super Bowl and every single game matters. Again, please don’t read into too much what I’m saying here. I’m not saying I’m endorsing the idea of Stafford skipping his wife giving birth. I’m just saying that we have to look at all options, and it looks like Kelly understands the severity of the situation.
After all, Stafford’s getting paid millions to sling the football over the place. He’s not getting paid millions to have kids. Again, I’m not saying he should only focus on football. My job as an unbiased reporter is to just lay out the scenarios.
Now, as a Lions fan, I just want Stafford to do whatever is necessary to win a Super Bowl. If that means missing a game for the birth, and then winning the next 15 games, I’m all for it. Do whatever it takes to win.
