Will the DMV Close Down Uber and Lyft Using 80 Year Old Law?

The unions and the monopolists have figured out a way to close down Uber and Lyft. This of course will harm the drivers, who are making a little extra money to survive the Obama/Democrat economy. The drivers use their own cars and insurance, pay Uber a fee for every passenger received through the application and add to their meager incomes due to the minimum wage economy created by President Obama.
”Any passenger vehicle used or maintained for the transportation of persons for hire, compensation, or profit is a commercial vehicle,” the DMV said in its notice, which was dated Jan. 5. “Even occasional use of a vehicle in this manner requires the vehicle to be registered commercially.”
The DMV was prompted to issue the notice “because an increasing number of dealers and customers have inquired about this process and received inconsistent information.”
Literally this is an 80 year old law, now trying to be enforced in the 21st century, an era marked by computers, not buggy whips. Brown does not enforce our death penalty, immigration laws, allows criminals from foreign nations to lie on application and steal identities—but will not allow honest Americans to survive in an economy he helped create. Shame on us for allowing this.
