Winners of The Eighth Annual Art About Agriculture Exhibit Announced

illness arial,sans-serif;”>After careful consideration and lengthy deliberation, the three judges of The Eighth Annual Art About Agriculture exhibition, on display at the Santa Paula Art Museum, have selected the winners. All of the 75 agriculturally-themed works in the show were considered for a variety of honors and $500.00 in prizes. The judges awarded the Family Roots in Agriculture Award to Logan Woodie’s “Follow that White Mule.” Luis Ramirez’s “Cara de un Trabajador” received the Honoring Farm Labor Award. The World View Award went to Michael Wood’s untitled photograph of a woman harvesting wheat in India. Prizes were also given to Victor Schiro’s “The Olsen Farm, Happy Valley” for the Light on Agriculture Award, and Nina Warner’s “Bales” for the Size Does Not Matter Award.

Art About Agriculture runs through January 31, 2016 at the Santa Paula Art Museum, so don’t miss your chance to see the award-winning works.

The Santa Paula Art Museum is located at 117 North 10th Street in Santa Paula. The Museum’s regular hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM, and Sundays, 12 PM – 4 PM. Admission is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors, and free for students and SPAM Members.
