Woman gives her ex-boyfriend a message: She set his vehicle on fire

viagra buy arial, pilule sans-serif;”>On Sunday morning, December 27th at 8:21am, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a call from the victim reporting that his ex-girlfriend, later identified as the suspect 21 year old Jacqueline Zavala-Lopez a Las Vegas resident, was disturbing outside of his residence in the 5300 block of Basie St., and attempting to break his front window. Before officers arrived, Zavala-Lopez had left the area. As officers were still on scene, the victim received a message from the suspect telling him to check his vehicle, which was parked in an apartment complex parking lot across the street from his residence. It was discovered the suspect had intentionally set his vehicle on fire. The Ventura City Fire Department was dispatched and extinguished the fire.

Officers searched the area for the suspect, but were not able to locate her. The victim felt she was possibly trying to leave Ventura and get a bus back to Las Vegas. Officers worked with the victim, who convinced the suspect to meet him in downtown Ventura. The suspect was spotted by officers near the Starbucks at Main St. and Chestnut, where she was taken into custody without incident.

Zavala-Lopez was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for felony arson.

The fire department personnel determined the victim’s vehicle was a total loss.
