Would be thief in Ventura Walmart parking lot arrested for malicious mischief and concealed dagger

symptoms arial, online sans-serif;”>The Ventura Police Department Command Center received a call  on Friday morning, price November 27th at approximately 8am of a subject trying the door handles of several cars in the parking lot of Walmart. The caller also saw the subject enter one car before walking away from the parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers located Alton Kearse nearby and a witness identified Kearse as the suspect. Kearse admitted that he had been attempting to steal from vehicles but had been unsuccessful. Kearse was arrested for that crime. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of a dagger that was concealed in his pocket. Kearse was booked at the Ventura County Jail for 10853 VC – malicious mischief to a vehicle, and 21310 PC – possession of a concealed dirk or dagger.
