WPN Webinars begin 2021 Schedule March 11
Focus will be on the latest marketing, production tips
    for authors and small publishers
The Writers & Publishers Network (WPN) announces its next series of webinars, to begin on March 11. The webinars’ overall theme is “The Business End of the Pen” and includes publishing professionals and authors, each delivering their experiences on how to succeed in publishing.

“We began last year at the start of the pandemic,” said Kathleen Kaiser, WPN President, “and found a very receptive audience. One of WPN’s goals is to assist new authors and small publishers with the many twists and turns making up today’s publishing landscape. When the organization started 25 years ago, the aim was to use the internet as a new way to connect with others in the industry. Today, we have members throughout the English-speaking world who email me with questions or requests for referrals to people who can assist with a multitude of situations.

“The webinars offer ongoing education and a library for people to refer back to for future reference. Every attendee can download the video and any handouts from the presenters, thus building their resource center to refer back to in the future. We will run webinars through October 2021 and then hold our conference, the 805 Writers Conference, hopefully in November.”

The webinars are held on alternating Thursdays at 11 am Pacific. The first three months of presenters and topics are:

March 11 – Kathleen Kaiser, WPN President and book marketer – “The 5 Mistakes Authors Make When Launching a Book”

March 25 – Ivor Davis, Author – “What I’ve Learned Self-Publishing Three Books—the perils, successes, and the four things that helped me the most.”

April 8 – Jackie Lapin, Publicist – “Developing Your Killer Radio. Podcast or TV Pitch”

April 22 – Toni Lopopolo, Literary agent and writing coach – “The Most Important Skills You Must Master to Sell Your Novel”

May 6 – Michael Bowker, Author and publisher – “The Author’s Pathway—a guide to navigating your way to completion”

May 20 – Penny Sansevieri, Bestselling author and book marketer— “Secrets of a Bestselling Amazon Book Page”

Details about each session and speaker are available at WPNWebinars.com, where people may register for each webinar. The cost is $35 for non-members of WPN. Members receive 30% off. Registration closes 18 hours before each session.
