You’ve had that story on your mind for a long time.
A novel?  A memoir?  Narrative Nonfiction?
Maybe you have one in first or second draft?

Want your story to leap off the page, mesmerize readers?
Then come to a new workshop designed to help beginning and intermediate writers who have a draft stashed somewhere, half-written, abandoned, maybe the basic story outlined. Here’s how to put your story-telling chops to work.

  • Learn the names of the skills writers must master to produce a marketable manuscript for today’s demanding readers.
  • Learn how to practice each skill in the four weekly workshops on Tuesday at 10:30 am in Camarillo. Interactive, with a list of books needed for the course. You will work, you will read, you will write, you will ask many questions. You’ll learn to “hear” your own writing.
  • Learn the most basic of all writing skills: self-editing, by editing fellow writers in order to edit your own work like a pro.
  • Learn that you don’t have to struggle on your own to finish an agent-worthy draft, that you can skip a lot of heartache, frustration by learning the tips and tools that will become second nature, muscle memory in a shorter time than trying to do all this on your own.

Bring your own pages to work on, or bring yourself and your dream (and a notebook). Find out if you’ve got the discipline to work hard, and become a journeyman writer in 4 weeks.

Be sure to talk to Toni about the format of the four weeks, what you’ll need to bring and what to do before the first session on April 10.

Limited to no more than 6 writers.
Dates – April 10, 17, 24 & May 1
