    14 Year Old Male Shot Dead in Oxnard

    News Release

    On September 12, 2022, at about 7:45 P.M., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the call of a shooting victim in the 1300 block of South C Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 14 year old male subject, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel quickly arrived, began life-saving measures and transported the young male to the Ventura County Medical Center. Unfortunately, once at the hospital the young man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

    The name of the victim is being withheld until notification can be made to his family.

    The Oxnard Police Department Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and has took over the investigation.

    Investigators are encouraging anyone who has any information, may have heard or seen anything to contact Detective Kaya Boysan (805) 385-7645.  The City of Oxnard offers a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing homicides within the City.

    Been asking for Homeboy Industries to come in and help develop a program. Maybe one day……OPD will reach out too.

    Why doesn’t the city council of Oxnard come up with a plan to combat the constant gang crimes in Oxnard? Are they condoning it?
