    36-year-old man shot dead in Oxnard

    News Release

    On October 22, 2022, at about 10:15 P.M., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the call of a shooting victim in the 300 block of Cuesta Del Mar Drive. When officers arrived, they located a 36-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services quickly arrived and began life-saving measures.  Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

     

    The victim’s name is being withheld until notification can be made to his family.

    The Oxnard Police Department Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

    Investigators encourage anyone who has any information or may have heard or seen anything to contact Detective Megan Tobey (805) 385-7755.  The City of Oxnard offers a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing homicides within the City.
