8th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival – September 28, 2019

Port Hueneme, Calif.—It’s time to go bananas–at the 8^th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival, Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Festivalgoers will enjoy a variety of delicious banana treats such as banana empanadas, banana splits, banana funnel cakes, banana lumpia, banana cream pie melts, banana Italian ice, banana popcorn, banana cupcakes and chocolate covered bananas. Specialty drinks include banana slushies, milkshakes and strawberry-banana margaritas. Each food vendor will offer at least one unique banana dish.

The festival also features live bands, arts and crafts vendors, banana pie eating contests and kids’ crafts and activities. Free land and water tours of the Port are available that highlight its 82 years as Ventura County’s only deep-water working port. Sign up for tours onsite. Tours are first come first serve. The festival is located at the Port of Hueneme, with the entrance at the corner of Surfside Drive and Market Street. Free admission with free parking at beach lot locations.
