    Simi Valley | Suspect Smash Window at Fire Island Grill — Get Away Empty-handed

    Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release

    On 5/31/19 at approximately 12:59 AM, Simi Valley Police Units responded to “Fire Island Grill, 1230 Madera Rd., on burglary alarm. Upon arrival, SVPD Units noticed that the window was smashed to the business. The business was searched, but the suspects had fled. The manager responded and was able to access video surveillance. The video revealed that two male black adults, between 20 and 30 years of age, smashed the window and entered the business. Both were wearing “track suits” with “hoodies”. The suspects attempted to open the cash register and safe but were unsuccessful. Ultimately, no property or cash was taken. The suspects eventually fled in an unknown type vehicle, waiting to the rear.
