Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On August 19th at 10:07 AM the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call reporting several shots being fired from a vehicle at the intersection of Saticoy Ave. and Telegraph Rd. Reports were that the shots were coming from a vehicle and possibly in the direction of pedestrian that was walking near the intersection. Officers responded, but were not able locate any victims or the suspect vehicle.
The pedestrian was last seen fleeing on foot into a nearby construction site and the suspect vehicle, a white panel van, left the area eastbound on Telegraph Rd.
Evidence was found at the scene that indicated a shooting occurred, although there was no evidence that anyone was injured as a result.
