Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
Sheriff’s detectives seek the public’s help in locating 34 year old Robert Bowe of Oak View.
On 06/16/20, at approximately 9:18 PM, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon on Pathelen Avenue in the unincorporated area of Oak View. Upon arriving, deputies from the Sheriff’s Ojai Patrol Station located an adult male and an adult female suffering non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, treated for their injuries, and released several hours later.
The investigation revealed that Robert Bowe assaulted his parents with a knife in an unprovoked attack. The assault occurred inside the residence the three share. Bowe then fled the residence in an unknown direction prior to the deputies’ arrival. Deputies spent hours searching the surrounding area but were unsuccessful in locating Bowe.
Bowe is described as a white male, approximately 6’1” tall and 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Bowe has multiple tattoos covering his neck and both arms. He also has “NOW” tattooed on his right eyelid and “WHAT” tattooed on his left eyelid.
If you see Bowe, do not approach him as he may still be armed. Instead, call 911. Anyone else with information about this investigation, or Bowe’s possible whereabouts, is asked to call Detective Craig Hennes at (805) 384-4722.
