Oxnard Police Department – Incident Press Release
On June 6th at 10 PM officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the 4000 block of South “A” Street reference a call of shots fired. Once on scene, officers were able to view surveillance footage of a subject firing a handgun in the air from a vehicle. Officers located the unoccupied vehicle in the area. A short time later, a subject entered the vehicle and drove away. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detained the driver, Vergara. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded/unloaded 9mm firearm, and spent casings.
Vergara was arrested for several firearms related violations.
